Enhanced Security, Privacy and Trust in Safety-Critical Infrastructures
Thanassis Giannetsos earned his Ph.D. degree from University of Allaborg, Denmark in 2012. Prior to his appointment as Head of Security and Trusted Computing Group at Ubitech, Ltd, he was Associate Professor within the Cyber Security Section, Technical University of Denmark.
Thanassis has also held positions as a Senior Researcher at the Networked Systems Security group with KTH, Sweden and then as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science with University of Surrey, UK. His research interests span from access control mechanisms, penetration analysis, and denial-of-service protection, to cryptographic protocols and applied cryptography.
He has expertise in trusted computing technologies and their integration towards advanced and scalable attestation, operational assurance and the design and implementation of secure and privacy-preserving protocols and risk management.
